The 2012 NFL Draft weekend resulted with only one Black College Football NFL prospect drafted. Christian Thompson, FS, South Carolina State University went to the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round. There were a couple more highly regarded Black College Football NFL prospects such as Prairie View A&M DE Adrian Hamilton, Bethune Cookman DE Ryan Davis, Morehouse DT Chigbo Anunoby, Grambling State WR Mario Lewis, Southern WR LaQuinton Evans, Jackson State DE Donovan Robinson, Morgan State WR Lamont Bryant and Langston CB Antonio Dennard that could of went on the last day of the draft (4th-7th round).
